BEST NEW BEAUTY AWARDS

Hi beauties!

It’s an exciting time here at bh HQ, so we’re here to share some updates about our upcoming (biiiiig drumroll please) BEST NEW BEAUTY AWARDS.

Now we know you might be wondering… what on earth are the Best New Beauty Awards? In fact, you might also be wondering where on earth the Glosscars went?! But don’t worry, we promise we’re still as devoted as ever to crowning the top new beauty launches from the year just passed. So devoted, in fact, that we’ve given our awards a fresh name and a fresh look to match. We think it sums up the goal well – we’re looking for the best new beauty products, and we’re determined to find ‘em. With the help of our trusty members, of course.

Part of the awards program is a shared trial box. Invites have been sent out (keep an eye on your inbox!), with the box packed with some standout product nominees we have full faith you’ll love, and voting for the BNB Awards will run from Wednesday May 21st to Wednesday May 28th. The members selected onto the trial box will form the voting panel for this year Best New Beauty awards. From there (once all the votes have been counted), the winners will be announced week commencing the 9th of June, right here on beautyheaven.

We’re so thrilled to kick off our first-ever Best New Beauty Awards and we hope you’ll join us in gearing up for all the good stuff (AKA product-crowning) to come.

Love team bh xx

The “Best New Beauty Awards” is one of the most anticipated celebrations in the beauty industry, recognizing the most innovative, effective, and game-changing products of the year. It highlights brands and creators who are redefining beauty standards through creativity, quality, and inclusivity. From skincare breakthroughs and revolutionary haircare formulas to makeup must-haves and sustainable beauty innovations, these awards showcase the best that the beauty world has to offer.

What makes the Best New Beauty Awards so special is the balance between expert evaluation and real-user experience. Each product is tested, reviewed, and carefully chosen for its performance, texture, ingredients, and results. It’s a true reflection of what consumers love and what professionals trust.

The Dream Glaze Miracle Hair Spray is my favourite so far. My hair gets rather frizzy after washing. It’s a pretty blush pink bottle too. 💕

I got the confirmation email this evening and the tracking info, so exciting.

Yes, I have wondered about this for many years. However, it does appear this is taken into account, as they only require you to vote in 3 categories per broad category, not every category (that is your prerogative and BH makes it quite clear that is the case in voting requirements). These businesses likely also pay to be listed as a contender. If they want their products to be fairly considered, they could provide their products as part of the trial process pre-voting. There are ways for these businesses to be legitimately considered in the circumstances.

Congratulations to the 100 participants who were chosen. Can wait to see the reviews

I am grateful to have been one of the 100 selected to trial the special products and vote, but to be honest I felt a bit uncomfortable voting this time. The reason being that the selection of products were very small, and there were many categories where I had not trialed a single nominated product in the category. BH will probably advertise the winning products as having been selected by a special panel of 100 experienced members, but in reality the panel was not given the opportunity to nominate any products nor had the opportunity to trial all the nominated products.

A more honest and accountable approach would be to allow products we love to be nominated, even if it’s only from the brands that are featured on BH.

Thanks for all the replies. I too looked at the ingredients and reviews of nominated products and brand ethos and made an educated guess for the products I hadn’t personally tried.

I was under the impression that we were supposed to vote as part of the trial team.

The product selection/voting process is similar to previous years and it’s nothing new as such, but this year it’s not open to the public, and I felt a higher level of responsibility being one of the 100.

Logically we can’t all have tried every single product in every single category. All we can do is look at reviews written by others and make an educated guess in some instances. Some of them I selected from trusted brands whose have products I love and have never let me down.

    • 6 mths, 1 w ago

I STRONGLY agree! It undermines the real accomplishment of the winning products, knowing that they might have been just selected at random by someone who has never used them.

Also, those members who HAVE used the nominated products are banned from voting if they’re not part of the TT.

Good point Jupiter. Because if we didn’t vote in enough categories then our vote wouldn’t count, then we might risk being excluded from the next big event or penalised in other ways. What I tried to do when I wasn’t sure was read reviews and product information to make a slightly more informed vote. Unfortunately, I believe that brands probably pay per nominated product which means that brands will be choosy about the products they want included to be able to stick to their advertising budget.

Trying to respond to @Jupiter and @Oktako but it won’t let me! EDIT – Crazy! My response was not allowed then it was – I’m too old to be playing games and/or dealing with BH deciding to be difficult with posting.

        Hugs and/or high fives everyone.

      • 6 mths, 1 w ago

Perfectly said, @Jupiter – I agree completely with you, @Oktako and @Stephaneigh and I’m sure many other members feel that way too.

    • 6 mths, 1 w ago

I also don’t feel comfortable voting in categories where I haven’t tried any products, but we have to if we want to vote at all??

  • 6 mths, 1 w ago

@Lisa359, I’ve been off air without internet for a few days – I really hope you’ve been able to sort out the voting now – that’s really weird and difficult. BH can be hard to navigate at times. Hope your week is wonderful!!

I have submitted all of my reviews and finished my voting. I was so happy to be part of this amazing products trial.
