PORT ANGELES — Ruddell Auto and the Old Timers car club from Bremerton will host their 29th Cruise-In car show at 5 p.m. Friday.
The dealership expects more than 2500 people to attend the annual car show on its lot at 110 S. Golf Course Road, Port Angeles.
Members from number of different car clubs are expected and individuals are also welcome; parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Trophies will be awarded for a Best of Show, Peoples Choice, Heritage, and Farthest Distance Travelled as well as a variety of door prizes totaling more than $2,000 will be handed out during the show.
“We expect not only local cars, but some from across Washington,” said Doug Scott, Old Timers organizer. “This is both a great event and a big one too, and with some good weather, we are expecting this year’s Cruise In to be well attended.”
Due to the limited number of spaces, project cars and cars made after 1986 are not allowed.
The show is free to the public, however a non-perishable food item for the food bank is requested.
The Silver City 6 will provide live music during the show and the Knights of Columbus will be selling burgers and hot dogs.
The free Friday night Cruise-In kicks off a weekend-long event for the Old Timers Car Club that features a Rod Run to Lake Crescent on Saturday and a barn dance and meal in the evening at the Clallam County Fairgrounds.
“We expect this year’s event to be another great event with hundreds of cars,” says Howie Ruddell. “We are usually full within an hour of opening the gate and expect the same again this year.”
