PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Community Players will conduct auditions for its production of “Sugar Plum Done” at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1 and Oct. 4.
Auditions will be at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
Written by Shannon Cosgrove, who will co-direct with Melody Todnem, the play will be staged from Dec. 5-21.
Cosgrove and Todnem will cast 14 people, both adults and children 7 and older.
The play, set on Christmas Eve, tells the behind-the-scenes story of what happens in Santa’s Workshop when a mid-life crisis leads Santa to a residency in Vegas.
Elves walk out, reindeer fly the coop and Christmas is on the verge of cancellation.
Theatergoers will see if a small cadre of loyal elves and fairies can find a way to deliver a world of toys with only three TikToking reindeer.
Scripts are available for perusal at both the Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles, and the temporary location of the Sequim Branch Library, 609 W. Washington St., Unit 21, Sequim.
