PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System has moved its monthly book discussion groups online.
Participants must register at www.nols.org to receive the link to the free Zoom meetings.
The Second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, to discuss “The Library Book” by Susan Orlean.
Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Branch Library.
The group will discuss “The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man’s Love Affair with Nature” By J. Drew Lanham in September.
Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Branch Library.
The Second Tuesday Book Discussion Group will discuss “My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry” by Fredrik Backman.
In September the group will discuss “Sapiens : a Brief History of Humankind” by Yuval Noah Harari.
The Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group is set to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, to talk about “Belonging: A German Reckons With History and Home” by Nora Krug.
Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Branch Library.
The group plans to discuss “The Overstory” by Richard Powers in September.
The Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, to discuss “The Friend” by Sigrid Nunez.
Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Branch Library.
Their September selection is “The Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe: How to Know What’s Really Real in a World Increasingly Full of Fake” by Steven Novella.
