A music festival, a street fair and many other performances highlight this weekend’s events on the North Olympic Peninsula.
• Moonfest 2025 begins at 5 tonight at Twana Springs, 260 Munn Road, Quilcene.
Tickets are $55 for Friday, $80 for Saturday or both days for $125 at www.moon-fest.com.
The annual two-day music festival will feature Sahara Calling, Amigos and James Howard tonight.
Saturday’s lineup will start at 2 p.m. with Locomotive Breath, Andre Feriante, Mars Garden, Daring Greatly, Shula Azhar and Polly O’Keary and the Rhythm Method.
The festival also will feature speakers on Saturday, including Mary Munn presenting “Truffles” with her dog River Trufflehunter at 10:30 a.m., Jennifer Rotermund of the Port Townsend Psychedelic Society at noon and Jerry Novak presenting “Wild Medical and Edibles” at 1 p.m.

• The Uptown Street Fair will return to Port Townsend from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The fair will feature the “The Unbelievably Brief but Colorful Parade” at 2 p.m.
Other activities include the Port Townsend Farmers Market, the Port Townsend Arts and Crafts Guild market, kids arts and crafts from PT Artscape and a beer garden from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There also will be live music starting at 9 a.m. with Kiwanis Stars of Tomorrow winner Sharletta Freund followed by Corinne Adams and Rachel Gribben at 10 a.m., Jill and Kevin at 11 a.m., Nyby at noon, Marco Marco at 1 p.m., Dj Lunch Lady at 2 p.m. and Bread and Gravy at 2:45 p.m.

• Ian Maksin will perform several concerts across the Peninsula this summer.
The cellist will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Forks Congregational Church, 280 Spartan Ave., Forks.

Concertgoers will have an opportunity to meet Maksin from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Field Hall’s Sunset Lounge.
Maksin, a cellist, composer and multilingual vocalist, studied at the School for Gifted Children in St. Petersburg, Russia, then known as Leningrad, and at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.

• The inaugural Port Angeles Studio Tour will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The free self-guided tour will feature the private studios of 18 local artists.

Participants will be able to visit the studios, meet the artists and possibly see demonstrations of their creative process.
Participating artists include painters, sculptors, photographers, digital artists and craftspeople, many of whom will have works available for purchase.
The tour will feature Susan Spar, Jinx Bryant, Becky Stinnet, Paulette Hill, Melissa Moller and Debbie Cain in a shared studio at 72 Derrick Road; Donna Lahue, Monica Gutierrez-Quarto and Margaret Rattle in a shared studio at 582 Buchanan Drive, Andrea Woods at 711 S. • The Olympic Music Festival will continue its summer season with concerts at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Wheeler Theater at Fort Worden State Park, 200 Battery Way, Port Townsend.

All vehicles must display a Discover Pass in parking areas at Fort Worden. Passes may be purchased on site.
This weekend’s program features Olympic Music Festival fellows Ria Honda, violin; Jeremy Klein, viola; K.J. McDonald, violin; Annie Hyung, cello; and Andrew Chen, piano. They will be mentored for two chamber concerts by violinist Ray Chen, violist Dimitri Murrath, cellist Matthew Zalkind and pianist Julio Elizalde.
Saturday’s program, “Romantic Reflections,” will include “Passacaglia in G minor on a Theme by Handel” by the Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen, Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, Op. 60 and Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Trio No. 3 in F minor, Op. 65.
On Sunday, the festival will present “Voyage From Paris to St. Petersburg,” featuring Ernest Chausson’s “Poème,” Op. 25 for Violin, Piano, and String Quartet, Gabriel Fauré’s Piano Quartet No. 2 in G minor, Op. 45 and Souvenir de Florence for String Sextet, Op. 70 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The chamber music series will continue on Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 31.

• Pamela Roberts and Sung-Ling Hsu will present “Music for a Better World” at 1 p.m. Saturday at Port Ludlow Community Church, 9534 Oak Bay Road, Port Ludlow.
Admission to the benefit concert is free. Donations to benefit the homeless population of Jefferson County will be accepted at the door and during a brief intermission.
Roberts, a cellist, and Hsu, a violist and pianist, are co-artistic directors of the Port Townsend Chamber Music Series.
The program will feature “Hungarian Rhapsody” for Cello and Piano by David Popper; Sonata for Cello and Piano in F major, Allegretto amabile, by Jean Hure; Sonata for Cello and Piano #2, Andante cantabile, by Nikolai Myaskovsky; “A Song of India” by Rimsky-Korsakov; Sonata for Cello and Piano in E minor, Allegro non troppo, by Johannes Brahms; and Mike Burstyn’s klezmer “Ki Mitziyon.”
• BellaJack will perform an outdoor benefit concert at 1 p.m. Sunday at Community United Methodist Church, 130 Church Lane, Port Hadlock.
Admission is by a $20 donation to benefit Olympic Angels, a Port Townsend-based nonprofit that supports foster families in east Jefferson and Clallam counties.
BellaJack is a local bluegrass and country music band.
There will be hotdogs, soft drinks and other refreshments.
In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors.

• Saltfire Theatre will present “Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood” with shows at 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 7 p.m. Sunday at Finnriver Farm and Cidery, 124 Center Road, Chimacum.
Saltfire also will perform the play at 6 p.m. Aug. 22-24 on Littlefield Green at Fort Worden State Park.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and, for the Littlefield Green performances, a picnic.
The family-friendly production will feature more than 30 local actors, designers, choreographers and crew members.
The play was written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Erik Van Beuzekom.
• Victims of Love, an Eagles tribute band, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Summer Concert series at Olympic Cellars, 255410 U.S. Highway 101, Port Angeles.
Tickets are $30 per person at www.olympiccellars.com/summer-concert-series.
The gate will open at 6 p.m. and the outdoor show will be played rain or shine.
Outside food is allowed. Local food vendors will be on site with food for purchase.
Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or by the bottle. Concertgoers may bring non-alcoholic beverages.
Carpooling is appreciated as parking is limited.
Seating is festival-style — tables and chairs are first-come, first-served.
There is no seating in the space under the patio in front of the band because it will be reserved for dancing.
Attendees should bring warm clothes since it gets cold once the sun goes down.
The venue is family-friendly, but dogs are not allowed.
• Bob Boekelheide will present “Gulls in Motion” at 7 tonight in the Cedar Hat classroom at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim.
A $5 donation is encouraged.
Boekelheide will discuss the annual cycle and migration of gulls on the North Olympic Peninsula.
The presentation is part of the Sunset Speaker series sponsored by the Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society.

• The Port Townsend Kiwanis Club will host its 36th Classic Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Athletic Field, 550 Washington St., Port Townsend.

• The Friends of the Jefferson County Library will conduct a book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The sale will be in the Hagen Building adjacent to the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave., Port Hadlock.
The sale will feature used books, audiobooks, DVDs and music CDs.
All proceeds will benefit the library district.
• The Strait Air Volksgrüppe VW Car Club will conduct its 18th Volkswagen Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 U.S. Highway 101, Sequim.
Registration is $20 per vehicle and is open to both air- and water-cooled Volkswagens.
Passengers and spectators will be admitted for free.
Proceeds will benefit Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

• Judy English, Susan Kalmar and Jeanette Stehr-Green will present “All About Container Gardening” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The free presentation is part of the Digging Deeper gardening series at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road, Sequim.
The three master gardeners will discuss which types of plants grow well in containers and the selection of containers and soil for optimal plant growth.
They also will address the care needed to keep containers producing flowers, fruit and vegetables through the growing season.
