PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Public Library, 1220 Lawrence St., will host “Art in the Library Talk: Canoe Journeys” at 6 tonight with Marlin Holden.
Holden, a member of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and canoe skipper, will share stories of canoe journeys across the Salish Sea. The stories will show how such journeys strengthen the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe’s culture, according to a news release.
Photography and objects relating to canoe journeys will be on display through Feb. 17. The art show is in partnership with the Northwind Arts Center.

Two concerts
SEQUIM — Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., in Sequim, will host concerts by Peninsula Singers at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and free for youths 12 and younger.
Under the direction of Hollie Kaufman, the Peninsula Singers will perform “Frostiana,” seven settings for the poems of Robert Frost by Randall Thompson, and “Vesperae solennes de confessore,” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Peninsula Singers consists of about 45 members from across the North Olympic Peninsula, and was formed about 20 years ago.

Music fundraiser
PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Friends Meetinghouse, 1841 Sheridan St., will host a dessert social and a benefit concert featuring Jack&Joe, a duo made up of Jack Reid and Joe Breskin, at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The duo performs western-style Americana music.
There is a suggested donation of $5 to $50 with no one turned away. Proceeds will be used to pay down a loan on the Friends Meetinghouse, according to a news release.
Jack&Joe have been playing music together for about four years.
Breskin, a guitarist, has played just about every genre imaginable, and plays simply for the joy of playing with others, according to the release.
Reid plays rhythm guitar but is primarily a singer. He started out singing in church choirs, studied opera, sang folk music on the East Coast in the 1960s, later moving to Port Townsend. He said he likes both classical and western music.
Breskin and Reid joined musical forces at local open mic sessions and discovered their similar history of watching western serials at the movies when they were kids and a love for the music of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers.
They perform cowboy music, folk, blues and bluebelly wing — a genre the duo believes listeners will understand once they hear it, according to the release.
