QUILCENE — Eleonora Karpukhova will perform at a fundraising gala for Concerts in the Barn at 2 p.m. Friday.

The piano concert, to raise funds for next year’s season, will be in the barn at the Quilcene Lantern, 7360 Center Road, Quilcene.

Tickets are $50 per person at www.concertsinthebarn.org/end-of-season-gala-2025.

Karpukhova, a Russian pianist, is an associate professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in Moscow, Russia.

The program features Asiya Korepanova’s piano transcription of “Sinfonia” from Christmas Oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach, Piano Sonata in E Major, Op. 109, by Ludwig van Beethoven, and parts of Maurice Ravel’s “Le Tombeau de Couperin.”

Karpukhova also will perform several piano transcriptions by Sergei Rachmaninov, including the prelude, gavotte and gigue from Bach’s Partita for Violin No. 3, Lullaby Op. 15 by Pyotr Ilyich Tschaikovsky and “The Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

Karpukhova will conclude with six preludes, Rachmaninov’s Op. 23 and Op. 32.

Concertgoers can sit inside on comfortable chairs, in the loft or bring chairs or blankets to sit on outside on the lawn.

Wine, cider, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, cookies and ice cream will be available for purchase in the Milking Shed area, although concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own picnic lunches.

Bottled water will be available without charge.
