Bingo, a Clemente Foundation lecture, valentine crafts and a ukulele open mic are among Wednesday’s activities on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Masonic bingo

PORT ANGELES — Mason’s Lodge 69 will host bingo from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The lodge is at 622 S. Lincoln St.

Harmonica Pocket

SEQUIM — Keeth Apgar will present “Little Bitta Love” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Apgar will perform at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

The musical sing-a-long storytime program features ukuleles, singing books, kazoos and harmonicas.

Soup’s On

SEQUIM — Soup’s On is set for noon Wednesday.

The free program at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., is open to the community.

The meal includes a bowl of meat or vegetarian soup, a roll, salad and a small dessert.

PORT HADLOCK — The Jefferson County Library will sponsor “Papercraft Hearts” from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The free adult craft night will be at the Quilcene Community Center, 294952 U.S. Highway 101.

CHIMACUM

Clemente lecture

CHIMACUM — Johnny Horton will present “Salvation and Surrender: Literary and Historical Definitions of the Currency We Trade For Land” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The lecture is part of the Jefferson Clemente Foundation’s Thinking Through the Land series, presented at Finnriver Farm & Cidery, 124 Center Road.

Horton, a National Poetry Series finalist, teaches English at Seattle Central College, poetry at Richard Hugo House and literature in the Clemente Course in the Humanities.

The suggested donation of $10 per person benefits the Jefferson Clemente Course in the Humanities, a free accredited college humanities course for low-income adults.

Adult craft night

PORT HADLOCK — Adults ages 18 and older can create handcrafted valentines from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The free adult craft night will be held at the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave.

PORT TOWNSEND — Ukuleles Unite will host a happy hour open mic event at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

4 artists, 4 projects

PORT TOWNSEND — Four local artists will discuss the development of their current projects at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The artists will speak at the winter meeting of the Northwind Book Arts Group at the Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St.

Ben Bauermeister, Shane Miller, Peter Newland and Carl Youngman will each talk about how their project involved working with paper, printing or binding.
