PORT ANGELES — Live music, a picnic supper made for the occasion, Rhapsody in Red wine: They’re ingredients for the 10th annual Evening at Camaraderie Cellars, an informal concert set for 6 p.m. Friday.
Tickets to the Evening at Camaraderie Cellars — about a dozen remained last week — are $75, with all proceeds to benefit the Port Angeles Symphony.
Guests are asked to bring their own folding chairs for the patio of the winery, which is at 334 Benson Road just south of Port Angeles.

The event starts the 2019-2020 season of the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra, and shows off jazz, classical and folk musicians from both Clallam and Jefferson counties.
Along with the dinner and wines from Camaraderie, the offerings will include:
• Kristin and Otto Smith of Port Townsend, playing what they call “Handmade Music.”
• Jazz from vocalist Jessie Lee Spicher with David Jones on keyboard.
• Music of Beethoven and Quodlibet with Port Townsend oboist Anne Krabill, bassoonist David Krabill and English horn player Nancy Reis of Sequim.
• Tchaikovsky’s Andante Cantabile, with the Port Angeles Symphony Young Artist String Quartet.
The quartet features violist Lauren Waldron, 2018 winner of the Symphony’s Nico Snel Young Artist Competition in Port Angeles.
She’s home for the summer after her first year on a music scholarship at the College of Idaho, and ready to play with Port Angeles Symphony cellist Karson Nicpon and violinists Lauren Rankin and Marley Cochran.
Lee, for her part, is giving one of her first performances following the release of “This Happy Madness,” her debut album. It features tracks such as “I Just Found out about Love,” “Peel Me a Grape” and “Travelin’ Light,” and is available for streaming on Spotify and other music sites.
As they have done for a decade now, Camaraderie owners Vicki and Don Corson are donating the venue, picnic, dessert, soft drinks and wine in support of the Symphony.
“I am delighted by the variety in this year’s program. All the artists have a deep connection to this community,” said Jonathan Pasternack, conductor and music director of the Port Angeles Symphony.
“It will be a fun and memorable evening, for sure.”
