PORT ANGELES — Canadian Blues artist Jesse Roper will return to Port Angeles for two shows at Field Hall on Saturday.
Roper will take the stage for a matinee performance at 2 p.m. and a candlelight performance at 7 p.m.
Both shows will be in the Donna M. Morris Auditorium at Field Arts & Events Hall, 201 W. Front St., Port Angeles.
Tickets for the matinee are $25 to $50 per person, while tickets for the candlelight show are $35 to $60 per person. They can be purchased at www.fieldhallevents.org/tickets.
Roper’s performances will kick off the third season of the In Harmony series, a collaboration between the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts and Field Hall.
Based in Victoria, B.C., Roper has performed at the Juan de Fuca Festival for the Arts, the Concerts on the Pier series and in the 2024 In Harmony series at Field Hall.
“The Port Angeles Family has been so darn good to me,” Roper said. “It feels like my second home over there. Maybe it’s because I come from a small town too. Whatever it is, I look forward to getting on the Blackball and hearing that old Sinatra tune as the boat whisks me over to that comfy little spot beneath that snow topped mountain at the edge of the sea.”
Concertgoers also may purchase an add-on meet and greet with Roper before each show to benefit KSQM Radio in Sequim.
“When I heard they (KSQM) were doing a fund drive, I wanted to give them a donation,” Roper said. “However, I make music for a living and my funds are quite used up trying to do that.
“When we set up the Field Arts show, Kari and I figured I could do a bonus meet and greet before the big shows and give 50 percent of the profits to the KSQM team. I don’t know if it’ll be much, but I’ll feel really good about giving them something. They’re the best.”
