Suspects located in BB gun incidents, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says

Three people admit shooting houses, cars

PORT HADLOCK — Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating four separate incidents of malicious mischief involving suspects they believe shot a BB gun at houses and vehicles.

Deputy Adam Newman spotted one young adult and two juveniles walking near Fifth Avenue in Port Hadlock, where a resident reported a car prowling early Tuesday.

The caller, a woman, said one of her car’s windows had been shot out by a BB gun.

Newman caught up with the suspects and eventually found a Glock-style BB gun on one of them, the sheriff’s office stated in a press release on its Facebook page.

Deputies have received several reports of houses and vehicles being shot out during the past month, the sheriff’s office said.

Most were in the Port Hadlock area and had been largely unsolved until Newman contacted the suspects who admitted to the shootings, according to the sheriff’s office.

Reports have been forwarded to the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s office for possible charges, the sheriff’s office said.
