Several potshots are reported in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Someone in Port Angeles is taking potshots in the city with a BB gun and, in one recent case, a gun that shoots bullets, police said.

Alleged victims include a person who said he was shot at Sunday at 8 p.m. by someone in a passing red car, police said in a news release.

Police said Monday the following incidents occurred in recent days:

• At about 5:40 p.m. Thursday, a motorist on 300 block of Park Avenue said someone shot his car window while he was driving near Port Angeles High School.

• At about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, a resident reported someone shot a bullet through a window at a residence in the 1700 block of East Third Street.

• At about 8 p.m. Sunday, an employee from a business in the 1200 block of East Front Street said he was shot at by someone with a BB gun in a passing red car.

• At about 8:45 a.m. Monday, the owner of a business in the 800 block of South Lincoln Street reported a window had been shot with some kind of weapon, possibly a BB gun.

A damage estimate was unavailable Monday, Deputy Chief Jason Viada said.
