Sequim store burglar gets away with empty till

SEQUIM — A burglary at Sunny Farms Supplement Store in Sequim turned up with nothing for the culprit.

Sometime on the night of Labor Day, Sept. 5, or early morning of Sept. 6, a burglar smashed the front glass door of the shop at 609 W. Washington St. to steal the front till. However, Sgt. Dave Campbell said there was no money in it.

Officers documented forensic evidence from the scene, such as fingerprints, Campbell said.

Store manager Theresa Roe said no products were stolen, and they notified police early Sept. 6 upon discovery of the shattered door. The only damage was the door, she said.

Police report there were no other burglaries or incidents at businesses in the Sequim Village Shopping Center that night.

Sunny Farms Supplement Store is open 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
