PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles man will serve 60 days in jail followed by 120 days of electronic home monitoring following his second DUI conviction in two years.
Clallam County District Court Judge David Neupert sentenced Marc Corbin, 24, of Port Angeles on Friday, according to a press release from the Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
In addition to the DUI, a jury during a two-day trial in June also found Corbin guilty of operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device that allows people with alcohol- and drug-related offenses to drive. Corbin also was cited for third-degree driving without a license.
Neupert sentenced Corbin to 60 days on the latter charges and ran the sentences concurrent with those imposed for the DUI sentence.
Corbin was also placed on supervised probation for up to 60 months, ordered to obtain an expanded substance use disorder assessment and follow treatment recommendations, complete a Level II defensive driving course, participate in a victim impact panel for DUI, not possess or consume alcohol, cannabis or non-prescribed controlled substances, not frequent any bars, taverns, liquor stores or cannabis dispensaries, and not drive unless licensed and insured to do so.
