Port Angeles man charged with second-degree rape

PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles man has been charged in the rape of an unconscious woman.

Seth Lee Owens, 23, who was charged Friday, will be arraigned on the second-degree rape charge at 1:30 p.m. this coming Friday in Clallam County Superior Court.

Port Angeles police said Owens raped an intoxicated woman at a house party in August.

Witnesses told police that Owens carried a sleeping woman from a living room couch to a bedroom where he raped her.

One of the party-goers who stopped the alleged rape took a photograph of Owens on top of the unconscious woman, according to the affidavit for probable cause.

Owens was arrested last Tuesday.

Owens is being held in the Clallam County jail on $100,000 bail.
