Fugitive from Texas arrested in downtown Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — A 46-year-old man was arrested in downtown Port Angeles as a fugitive from another state.

Bryan Neal Finley was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by a Port Angeles police officer, according to a press release.

Finley was being sought for a nationwide extraditable felony warrant for a domestic violence assault without bail from Hood County, Texas, where he is a previous resident.

The Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team had been contacted by the Texas Attorney General’s office last Friday and informed that Finley was believed to be in the Port Angeles area, the release said.

OPNET detectives and Port Angeles police found Finley on Thursday afternoon and arrested him without incident, according to the release.

He was booked into the Clallam County jail pending extradition to Texas.
