Deputies allegedly interrupt burglary in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Clallam County Sheriff’s Office deputies interrupted the burglary of a vacant home on the Miller Peninsula and arrested an intoxicated suspect, Chief Criminal Deputy Brian King said.

Michael D. Bradham, 43, was booked Sunday for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol, residential burglary, second-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief, King said.

Deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated and suicidal subject who might have been in possession of a stolen truck at a vacant house on the 200 block of Raintree Lane on Sunday evening, King said.

Bradham told the deputies that he was the property manager for the estate and was part owner of the house, which was up for sale.

It was determined that the truck Bradham was driving was not stolen, King said.

Deputies had parked near the scene to continue their investigation when Bradham drove his truck up the driveway of the vacant residence.

Bradham was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

The cab and bed of the truck Bradham was driving was found to contain miscellaneous items ranging from power tools to clothing, King said.

“While waiting for a DUI impound of Bradham’s truck, further investigation revealed that Bradham had been terminated from employment with the property management company he claimed to work for,” King said in a Tuesday press release.

“Deputies checked the residence and found that it had been unlawfully entered and several items stolen.”

A representative of the estate identified several stolen items from the home inside Bradham’s truck.

The value of the stolen items was believed to be between $1,000 and $5,000, King said.
