EVERETT — Olympic Peninsula Kidney Center (OPKC) merged into the Puget Sound Kidney Centers (PSKC) with a July 1 signing ceremony.
The merger adds OPKC’s four dialysis centers in Jefferson and Kitsap counties to PSKC’s seven centers in Snohomish, Island, Skagit and Pierce counties.
PSKC has been managing OPKC’s centers since 2018, according to a PSKC press release.
“By leveraging PSKC’s leadership and expertise, we have been able to enhance our services for the communities we currently serve,” said Dave Gitch, OPKC board president.
The newly merged organization will employ approximately 335 personnel and care for an estimated 900 dialysis patients.
The nonprofit plans to open five additional dialysis centers over the next several years.
