In preparation for a friend’s birthday last night, I decided to try my hand at a different eye look – one that differs from my usual beige-y brown selections. After all, living in the shadows isn’t much advised!
My chosen hue was a shimmery lilac purple from the BYS Diamond Shadow ‘Party ‘til Sunrise’ palette. My method was a thin line over my top lashline (where your eyeliner normally goes) and also along the bottom lash line – making one sparkly circle.
The result is pictured above, and I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve received from the beautyheaven beauties, my glam Nan, and my normally surly sister.
So this weekend, why not try a line of lilac around your own peepers for instant chic? My advice is to either stick with a neutral lip (a soft pink or nude shade would be best) or a coral hue, as it’s well known that purple plus coral equals one pretty face! Also, forego the eyeliner, as this will only limit how much colour you see on your lids. Rather, open your eyes with lashings of black mascara for a show-stopping end result.
